My name is Dr. Ann Elisa Haertling-Maclam, I’m an experienced Piano Teacher offering personalized piano and composition instruction to students in the Columbus, Powell, Olentangy, Worthington, Dublin, and Hillard Ohio areas. I have online students in New York City. I’ve been teaching people of all ages and levels since 1976 and love what I do. I hold both Bachelor's and a Master's degrees in Piano Performance and a Ph.D. in Music Education from The Ohio State University.

I always knew I wanted to work as a professional Piano Teacher since I have a fierce love of working with people and sharing my true passion with them. I’ve had plenty of experience working with students of all levels and skills - from beginners to real experts. No matter who I’m teaching, I thrive on seeing my students grow and develop as they discover what they can achieve.

COURSES
My teaching style focuses on basic skills: reading, counting, technique and theory. I include many types of music, ensembles and recitals designed to expand the imagination, confidence, and self-exploration. Ultimately my goal is to foster a love for music which lasts a lifetime. I offer 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons depending upon your needs. I am active in the Piano Guild, and OMTA.

Professional and patient. She for sure knows about music and is very good at teaching and playing piano. Both of my sons learn from her. It's been almost 10 years and still going.
Dr.Ann teaches piano for my daughter for the past 5 years. My daughter loves her piano lessons every week. Dr.Ann prepares the student for guild and scale olympics. She is nice, helping, with lot of patience and strict teacher during the lesson. I am very happy and fortunate to have a teacher for my daughter.
